UK Service Terms and Conditions

Customer booking a UK service under terms and conditionsThese service terms and conditions set out the basis on which our services are provided to customers in the United Kingdom. They are designed to create a clear and fair agreement covering the booking process, payment terms, cancellations, liability, waste handling, and the law that governs the service relationship. By placing a booking, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of them, you should not proceed with a booking.

For the purposes of these terms, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the service provider, while “you” and “your” mean the customer, client, or person requesting the service. These service terms apply to all standard and non-standard work supplied under a quotation, estimate, order confirmation, or other written or verbal arrangement. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version in force at the time of booking will normally apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.

These terms are intended to support a professional and transparent service experience. They are not written as a guide, promotional document, or customer review statement. Instead, they define the contractual framework for a service contract in a straightforward way. In some cases, separate written conditions may apply to a particular job, project, or service package. If there is any conflict between those specific terms and these general terms, the specific terms will usually take priority for that booking.

Payment and invoice details for a UK service bookingAll bookings are subject to availability, confirmation, and our acceptance of the request. A booking request may be made by the customer through the agreed booking method and may include details of the service required, the preferred date, the property or service location, access information, and any special instructions. A booking is not confirmed until we have accepted it, issued confirmation, or otherwise agreed to carry out the work. We may refuse a booking at our discretion where we consider it unsuitable, unsafe, unlawful, or outside the scope of our services.

It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking. This includes details that may affect scheduling, pricing, equipment, access, parking, restrictions, or service delivery. If information is incomplete or materially inaccurate, we may revise the quotation, alter the booking time, or cancel the service where necessary. Any estimate provided before inspection is based on the information you supply and may change if the actual service requirements differ from what was originally described.

Service terms and conditions may require a deposit, advance authorisation, or full prepayment before a booking is secured. Where a deposit is requested, it will be applied in accordance with the booking rules stated at the time of order. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive of VAT or other applicable taxes, charges, or levies. We reserve the right to update our prices if there is a change in the scope of work, materials required, access conditions, or disposal obligations.

Service cancellation and rescheduling terms overviewPayment is due in the manner and by the date specified in the quotation, invoice, or booking confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices should be paid immediately upon receipt or within the stated payment period. We may suspend or delay services if payment is overdue or if there is a reasonable concern that payment will not be made. In the event of late payment, we may charge interest and reasonable recovery costs in line with applicable UK law. Any administration fee or card processing charge will only be applied where permitted and disclosed in advance.

Where a job is charged on completion, payment must be made once the service has been delivered unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing. If the work includes additional tasks not included in the original quotation, we may issue a revised invoice for the extra time, labour, materials, or disposal costs. We do not waive the right to payment simply because a customer disputes an unrelated issue, unless the dispute is valid and directly relates to the invoiced work.

Cancellation and rescheduling requests must be made as early as possible. We may apply a cancellation charge where a booking is cancelled after confirmation, particularly where time, labour, vehicles, specialist equipment, or materials have already been reserved. If you cancel at short notice, fail to provide access, or are not available at the agreed time, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and charge accordingly. Any refundable amount will be calculated according to the cancellation policy communicated at the time of booking.

We aim to provide services with reasonable care and skill. However, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. We will not be responsible for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, business interruption, or any consequential damages arising from the service, except where such exclusion is not permitted by law. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.

Where we are liable for a proven defect in the service, our obligation may be limited to re-performing the relevant work, repairing the defect, or refunding the affected part of the charge, depending on what is reasonable in the circumstances. We are not responsible for issues caused by pre-existing faults, hidden defects, unsuitable site conditions, inaccurate information provided by you, third-party interference, or misuse after completion of the service. You should inspect the completed work promptly and notify us of any concerns within a reasonable time.

Any materials, items, or equipment supplied as part of the service will remain subject to the manufacturer’s instructions, warranty conditions, and normal wear-and-tear limitations. We are not liable for damage caused by improper use, failure to maintain the item, or alterations made after handover. Where you supply your own materials or products, we are not responsible for their quality, suitability, or performance unless we have expressly agreed to inspect or recommend them in writing.

Waste management and disposal are handled in accordance with applicable UK waste regulations, environmental duties, and any relevant licensing or permit requirements. Where our work creates waste, it must be segregated, stored, transported, and disposed of lawfully. You agree to provide accurate information about hazardous, bulky, or restricted waste before the service begins. We may refuse to remove or handle waste that is unsafe, misdescribed, contaminated, prohibited, or outside the scope of our authorisation.

If waste removal forms part of the booking, you must ensure that the items to be removed are clearly identified and accessible. Unless we have agreed otherwise, we are not responsible for sorting mixed waste at the premises or for removing materials that require specialist disposal arrangements. You must not place prohibited waste in general waste containers or request disposal of items that would breach environmental law. Any additional charges arising from lawful segregation, handling, transport, or tipping of waste will be added to the invoice where appropriate.

Where the service requires us to enter your property, site, or premises, you must ensure that the area is safe, accessible, and suitable for the work. This includes providing any required permissions, security clearances, parking arrangements, and information about hazards such as asbestos, electrical risks, fragile surfaces, pets, or restricted access. We may pause or stop the service if conditions are unsafe or if continuing would breach health and safety requirements. In such cases, any delay, abortive visit, or return visit may be charged.

Liability and property access conditions for UK servicesIt is your responsibility to remove valuables, fragile items, and personal belongings from the working area unless we have expressly agreed to handle them. We will take reasonable care while carrying out the service, but you acknowledge that some work involves unavoidable risk of minor disturbance, dust, noise, vibration, or temporary inconvenience. Where a service depends on weather, external conditions, third-party attendance, or access arrangements, we may amend the schedule to ensure safe and proper delivery.

Complaints should be raised as soon as reasonably possible after the issue is identified. We may ask for photographs, written details, or reasonable access to inspect the concern. If a remedy is available, we will normally attempt to resolve the matter by correction, repeat attendance, or another fair solution. A complaint does not give you the right to withhold payment for services that have been properly completed, unless a lawful right to do so applies. Any dispute will be dealt with in good faith and in a proportionate manner.

These UK service terms may be terminated by either party where the other party commits a serious breach that is not remedied within a reasonable time after notice, or where performance becomes impossible, unlawful, or commercially impractical due to events beyond our control. We shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, supplier failure, labour disputes, public health restrictions, or acts of government. In such circumstances, we may suspend, reschedule, or cancel the service without liability beyond any refund that is legally required.

Waste disposal and governing law terms for UK servicesIf any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. No failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy. Any waiver must be given in writing and will apply only to the specific instance stated. These terms form the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the relevant booking, except for any written variation agreed by both parties.

The interpretation and enforcement of these service terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Where the customer is based elsewhere in the United Kingdom, the applicable law and jurisdiction may depend on the circumstances of the contract and any mandatory consumer rights that apply. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the service will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless a different forum is required by law. By making a booking, you agree that these terms represent a binding contractual agreement.

The headings used in this document are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. References to singular words include the plural and vice versa, and references to one gender include all genders where the context allows. These service terms and conditions are intended to be fair, practical, and legally robust while remaining easy to understand. You should read them carefully before confirming any booking, as continuing with the service will be taken as acceptance of the full agreement.
